“Ravenwood Acres is a small scale hobby farm, located in Vanderhoof. We are dedicated to raising quality heritage poultry for Canadian climates! We offer a variety of dual-purpose breeds that are cold hardy, prolific winter layers, and have good utility.  We specialize in Chantecler – the only breed created in Canada for our climate – as well as others such as Russian Orloff, Ameraucana, Faverolles, and Brahma to name a few.  We have some fun breeds too, including a selection of bantams – Cochins, Wyandottes, and the fabulous Silkie – that are perfect for introducing children to poultry!  We love providing projects for 4-H kids!  We also run a flock of Welsh Harlequin and Muscovy ducks, for both eggs and utility, as well as beautiful Sebastopol Geese who earn their keep as lawn ornaments! We offer chicken/duck eggs for hatching and consumption, chicks, ducklings and occasionally young/old stock for sale to breeders, farmers, and backyard enthusiasts across the country.  For those who don’t have the facility to hatch their own fowl, we recently began offering custom incubation services as well.  We breed heritage Tamworth pigs and produce weaners for sale in spring and fall. We hope to add some goat products in the near future.”

Lemieux Creek Ranch raises 100% grassfed beef with no antibiotics, no growth hormones and no grain. Our beef comes from pairing two hearty Scottish Breeds – Galloway and Angus. The result is a cross-bred product that is not only good for your health, but it excels in flavour and tenderness. Les and Chris Yates have been cross-breeding Galloway and Black Angus cattle at Lemieux Creek Ranch for 20 years. The ranch is located in the beautiful Bulkley Valley in west-central British Columbia, near the Town of Telkwa, approximately half way between Prince George and Prince Rupert. Our goal is to raise healthy food from healthy animals. We are a family farm and are proud to provide a healthy alternative to beef products currently sold through the traditional food chain. We tend the land to ensure the grass is plentiful and nutritious so that from May to November our cattle will thrive on rolling tame pastures and allow us to make high quality winter feed for the cows and calves. We believe the quality of the meat we sell is the result of both the feed and the approach we take to raising our cattle. Our animals are born on the ranch and stay on the premises until harvest.

Jim and Roma Tingle operate Glenbirnam Farm, located on the Fraser River east of Prince George. Their farm has been in operation for over 35 years.They have a herd of Registered Black Angus cattle and a commercial flock of sheep. They direct market lamb into the local area as well as sell breeding stock, feeder lambs and 4-H lambs. Their ewe flock is predominantly Dorset /Suffolk cross bred to a Charollais ram as a terminal sire. They have some Registered Suffolk . Their Angus bulls are sold by private treaty and in the local purebred bull sales. They have some registered females for sale and occasional beef sales.
